The family of a woman from Leigh are becoming increasingly concerned for her welfare as she has been missing for almost a week.

The last confirmed sighting of Paige Kelly, 27, was last Tuesday (September 23) as she left her home in Leigh.

Her family say there were two further unconfirmed sightings of her the following day: getting into a taxi in Leigh in the early hours of Wednesday morning, and on St Helen’s Road in the town at around 8:30am.

Paige was wearing a grey knitted dress and a scarf but no bag, coat or cash, the M.E.N understands. She lives in Leigh but has links to Warrington.

She has not been seen or heard from since sending early on Wednesday morning, and does not appear to have switched her phone back on.

Her aunt Kate said: “It is so unlike her to go missing for so long. She has a five-year-old son. It is completely out of character.

“We are petrified that something could have happened to her but hope getting her face out there could spark someone’s memory.”

The family have been hard at work visiting pubs and shops in Leigh, St Helens and Warrington to put up flyers. They say they plan to do the same at local homeless shelters.

They also say they have checked and found Paige has not been admitted to any local hospitals.

Greater Manchester Police are understood to be investigating. They have been contacted for comment.
