Having had a few days to reflect on the event, it’s clear that the NFL Dublin game in Croke Park last weekend was a resounding success.
The whole thing was run brilliantly from start to finish. Whether it was the atmosphere, the setup at Croke Park, or the events on the day, it was massively enjoyed by all those in attendance.
It seems that the international audience were enamoured with it too, with the NFL Dublin game the second most viewed international game of all-time.

Jason Kelce Says NFL Dublin Blew London Games Out Of The Water
Some big names were in attendance at Croke Park on Sunday, with Jason Kelce chief amongst them.
The former Philadelphia Eagles Super Bowl winner and now massively famous podcaster spent some time exploring Ireland in the buildup to the NFL Dublin game, before making his way to Jones’ Road to take in the fixture.
Speaking on New Heights alongside brother Travis, he summed up just how special of an occasion it was, saying it blew other international NFL games out of the water.
I’ve been to some of these international games. I’ve went and saw [Travis] play, I’ve been over to London.
This is the best one I’ve ever seen, I’m not going to lie. Dublin was f*****g into it, there was so many Pittsburgh fans there throughout the week. Minnesota Vikings too, I got to talk to everybody throughout the week…
We were playing in an iconic stadium in Croke Park that has been there for over 100 years. It seats like 80,000, it was pretty much full. It was loud, they were into it.
I’ve thought about it some more. The London games are great, but they almost feel like an All-Star game. This one felt like these guys were into it from a football perspective.
I think part of it is that London gets so may world events at Wembley Stadium, that’s such a hub of the world that it’s not that unique. How many world events or big time stuff like this is Dublin seeing?
It’s still a huge city. It’s a massive city that loves rugby, Gaelic football, athletics. It was fantastic.
The weather was beautiful, the game was great. Explaining American football to all these Irish guys that didn’t know a f*****g thing about it was awesome…
It was just a really fun experience, the NFL knocked it out of the park. Croke Park and Ireland knocked it out of the park.
Shout out to the Irish national anthem singer. I don’t even know if that’s what you call it over there, but she f*****g brought the house down, it was tremendous.
It was just really cool.
It’s good to see he had some special praise for Cork singer LYRA, who performed a stunning rendition of Amhrán na bhFiann on the day.
If the first NFL Dublin fixture was anything to go by, you get the sense that it won’t be too long before we see another game taking place on these shores.
