Catherine Connolly spent much of her day at Leinster House highlighting the plight of residential institution victims who are now entering the 12th day of a hunger strike outside its gates.

Four people have felt they “have no choice but to go on hunger strike,” she said, as they seek an HAA card, named after a past Health (Amendment) Act. The card provides access to a wide range of free healthcare services, including GP visits, hospital services, prescribed medicines, among access to many other services.
