Tanaiste Simon Harris has confirmed that all 16 Irish citizens on board the flotilla on route to Gaza have been transferred to a detention facility in southern Israel.

“This morning I convened a meeting of senior officials of the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, following updates overnight, on the situation of the 16 Irish citizens who were on board the Global Sumud Flotilla before its interception,” said Mr Harris.
