Every year on October 3, social media buzzes with “Mean Girls” memes and quotes. The day marks an unofficial “Mean Girls” holiday because of the 2004 movie scene, where Lindsay Lohan, as Cady Heron, gets asked by her crush, Aaron Samuels (Jonathan Bennett), what day it is.
“On October 3rd, he asked me what day it was,” Lohan said in the voiceover in the movie. “It’s October 3rd,” she excitedly responds.
The scene has become an iconic moment in pop culture, along with other “Mean Girls” movie quotes like “You Go, Glen Coco!,” “You can’t sit with us,!” “She doesn’t even go here!,” “I’m not like a regular mom, I’m a cool mom” and so many more.
