In 2015, Hunt cut a forlorn figure after dropping the ball, that saw Johnathan Thurston kick a field goal to lead the Cowboys to a thrilling victory over the Broncos in the Grand Final.
Hunt has been to the Dragons and to hell and back since that fateful moment, but it was all washed away with a 26-22 victory over the Storm in a game that matched and even surpassed the 2015 decider for thrilling moments.

The whole rugby league world was pulling for Hunt in the Grand Final and Storm skipper Grant summed that up in a classy post match speech.
“If there’s one bloke that deserves it it’s probably Ben Hunt,” Grant said.
“So congrats Dozer (Hunt) and the Broncos.”
Broncos skipper Adam Reynolds echoed those sentiments in a touching post match interview.
“No one deserves it more,” Reynolds said.
“To see how hard he works. I mean, he’s copped all sorts of criticism over the past couple of years and definitely doesn’t deserve it.
“I mean, he’s one person with the culture he’s created at the club, along with the other lads. It’s been fantastic. I can’t wait to share a beer with him.”
