Adelaide takes on Port Adelaide in Showdown 58 on Saturday night

Adelaide has named an unchanged line-up for Showdown 58 against crosstown rival Port Adelaide at Adelaide Oval.

Defender Mitch Hinge, who was subbed out of last week’s win against Gold Coast with a corked hip, takes his place in the side after being listed as a test.

Hinge has been named on the bench alongside Zac Taylor, Luke Pedlar, Chayce Jones and Jake Soligo.

Adelaide will confirm its substitute at 6.40pm (ACST) on Saturday night, one hour before the first bounce.

Brayden Cook, Brodie Smith and Chris Burgess are the emergencies.

The Crows will celebrate three milestones in Showdown 58, with Skipper Jordan Dawson playing his 150th game, Isaac Cumming lining up in his 100th match and Mark Keane featuring in his 50th.

Adelaide will be searching for a fifth consecutive win, and second Showdown victory of the season, when it faces the Power.

Speaking to the media on Wednesday alongside the Variety SA Showdown Shield, Crows Senior Coach Matthew Nicks said he expected a finals-like atmosphere to greet his side on Saturday night.

“If you look back at the history of the (the Showdown), we know what’s coming, which is a red-hot game,” Nicks said.

“It’s often said after the games that it is finals like footy, there’s not many Showdowns that haven’t been like that, so from our point of view it’s the perfect time to test ourselves with the hardest possible games.

“And there’s no harder game than this.”

The Crows face the Power in Showdown 58 at Adelaide Oval on Saturday at 7.40pm.
