The second and final debate in the New Jersey governor’s race turned explosive Wednesday night as Democrat Mikie Sherrill linked Republican Jack Ciattarelli to the opioid epidemic, accusing his former publishing company of profiting while creating material that contributed to addiction and deaths.
Sherrill, a congresswoman, said Ciattarelli “went on to kill tens of thousands of people, including children.”
