The West Coast Eagles have secured pick 41 after trading Campbell Chesser to Carlton.

The selection bolsters the Eagles’ strong draft hand, with the Club now holding picks 1, 2, 13, 34, 38, 41, 53 and 58 for next month’s Telstra AFL Draft.

Chesser played 36 games for West Coast after being drafted with pick 14 in 2021.

“We are disappointed to lose Campbell after investing four years into his development, but he expressed his desire to return to Victoria and we wish him well,” Head of List Management and Recruiting Matt Clarke said.

“Adding another second round draft pick adds to our already strong hand in this year’s draft and provides us with more flexibility and options.”
