A 49-year-old man from Brampton is accused of online child luring.

Last April, Peel Regional Police’s Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) Unit launched an investigation into an unknown individual who was suspected of using social media platforms to lure person under the age of 16 for a sexual purpose.

On Oct. 2, Carlos Barros De MendonicaPeres, 49, of Brampton, was arrested and charged with four counts of luring a child under the age of 16.

He was held for a bail hearing at a Brampton court.
