Some 150kg of Cocaine worth €10.5m has been seized at Rosslare Europort today, following an intelligence-led operation.
As part of the operation, a truck and trailer unit travelling from the continent was searched at the port.
This revealed an elaborate lead lined concealment within the fuel tank of the vehicle.
The operation then discovered approximately 150kg of cocaine within the concealment with an estimated street value of €10.5m.
A male in his 50’s was arrested and is currently detained under Organised Crime Legislation in the South East of the country.

The seizure follows a joint operation conducted by The Garda National Drugs and Organised Crime Bureau (GNDOCB) and Revenue’s Customs Service.
This seizure is the latest in a number of drugs hauls by gardaí.
Last week gardaí seized in excess of 110kg of cocaine and 1.5kg of heroin, with an estimated street value of €8.2m.
In the course of the operation, search warrants were issued at 16 properties across South Dublin, West Dublin, Meath, Westmeath, Laois, and Offaly.
The drugs were recovered from two vans seized during the operation.
Additionally, cash totalling £38,000 sterling and €63,000 euro was confiscated.
One male, aged in his 40s, was arrested on suspicion of drug trafficking offences.
