Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban’s divorce has been making news for the last few weeks, since the actress filed for divorce after 19 years together. Part of it is that when the split was first announced, it was just billed as a separation, but the story changed fast. And part of it is that rumors indicate Urban has already moved, and that his new flame is someone significantly younger.
But Urban has been mostly silent in the face of recent rumors. And now, the singer is apologizing to fans, but not for anything to do with his ex. Instead, Urban was due to perform at Bon Secours Wellness Arena in Greenville, S.C, as part of his 2025 High and Alive World Tour on Thursday, October 16th, but had to cancel the concert and issued an apology.

“Keith Urban has been advised by his longtime laryngologist, Dr. Gaelyn Garrett, from the Vanderbilt Voice Center, to cancel his performance in Greenville, SC tomorrow night at Bon Secours Wellness Arena due to laryngitis which began earlier this week. He has been placed on complete vocal rest and Dr. Garrett is optimistic that he will be back onstage for his Nashville show,” the statement read.
But Urban didn’t just leave it a statement, he posted a personal message on his own social media, saying, “Hey Greenville, I’m so SO sorry to have to cancel the show…I know all the logistics it takes to get to a concert these days, and I’ve never taken any of that, or any of YOU, for granted,” he said. “I’m looking forward to getting back there when we can!!!!!”
This all comes as rumors are swirling about Urban’s new relationship, something he did not address. “The rumor is that he’s with a younger woman in the business,” a “Nashville music industry source told Daily Mail. “It’s all everyone is talking about. Everyone wants to know who, but so far, that’s a mystery.”
Kidman and Urban got married in 2006 and have two children together, Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14. The kids seem to be standing firm behind their mom after she filed for divorce on Tuesday, Sept. 30, in Nashville due to irreconcilable differences. It all makes sense, too, especially considering the reports.
Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop alleged that Kidman was trying to save the marriage and Urban wasn’t interested in that possibility, not even for the sake of his daughters. “Nicole wanted to fight for them, but Keith had already checked out—and she knew why. It wasn’t about distance, schedules, or bad habits. It was about another woman. And Nicole knows who she is,” the columnist reported. Another insider added, “She’s not naïve. She heard the stories; she saw the signs. At some point, the truth becomes impossible to ignore. She’s not going to live as anyone’s second choice.”
And now, the relationship between the two appears irrevocably broken. Rob Shuter’s ShuterScoop alleges that Kidman and Urban are “only speaking through lawyers,” with a source saying, “It’s icy. They’re not even texting. Everything — custody, property, money — runs through the lawyers.”
Pretty understandable, but still very hard. Especially for their daughters.
