The search for a $25 million Powerball winner has heated up as new details have emerged. Over one week on from the draw, LotteryWest officials have revealed exactly where the ticket was bought in the hope of enticing the winner to come forward.
The unclaimed ticket was purchased at Garden City Lottery Centre in Booragoon in Perth’s south — and the ticket was a Slikpik 30. Lotterywest spokesperson Zoe Wender said she can’t wait to hear from the Division One winner, who may be unaware of their life-changing win.
“Lotterywest is encouraging Western Australian players to check their Powerball tickets, with a $25 million Division One prize remaining unclaimed,” the spokesperson told Yahoo News.
“Lotterywest is waiting to hear from the WA player and has no way of contacting the owner of an unregistered ticket.”
Last Thursday’s $50 million Powerball draw was split between two winners, with the other half of the prize being claimed by a hardworking Alice Springs resident just this week.
The Lott officials revealed to Yahoo News that the Northern Territory dad was reduced to tears when he had the win confirmed to him — after leaving the winning ticket in his ute for five days, prompting a search for the winner.
“I had the absolute joy of speaking with this winner, and he was over the moon,” The Lott’s Anna Hobdell told Yahoo News, describing the man as “a humble and hardworking winner.”
“He and his wife were in complete shock, thrilled that they could finally clear their mortgage and loans,” she said.
The man promised he would continue working despite the massive windfall.
“When I asked if he was keen to give up work, he was adamant about staying on,” she said. He wants to keep himself busy, contribute to the workforce, and finish off a few projects he’s committed to.
The winning numbers for draw #1534 were 11, 21, 15, 28, 10, 20 and 24. The Powerball was 20.

Hopes second Powerball winner will come forward soon
Lottery players are encouraged to register their tickets for safekeeping.
“Tickets can be registered with a retailer when purchasing in-store and via Lotterywest Play Online when purchasing online,” the spokesperson said.
If the ticket is registered, the winner will be notified of the good news the following day.
LotteryWest’s Wender said it’s been an “amazing year” for players on the west coast, with the most recent ticket the third “significant Powerball win of 2025.”
“The last time WA celebrated three Powerball wins in one year was a decade ago, making this win even more exciting for the State,” she said.
Fiona Ly, the owner of the Lottery Centre where the unclaimed ticket was purchased said she “couldn’t believe it” when she heard the ticket had been purchased at her store.
“There are so many customers that pass through our store, and we have no idea who has purchased this life-changing ticket,” she said, adding she hopes the winner comes forward soon.

Last night’s Powerball first division prize was not won and jackpots to $12m for next Thursday’s draw.
