One person has died following a crash near Tokoroa.

Emergency services were called to the two-vehicle crash on State Highway 1, Kinleith, about 6.10pm yesterday.

Police said this morning one person died at the scene and one was taken to hospital in a moderate condition.

Inquiries into the crash were
ongoing.
