Kate Hudson‘s daughter Rani Rose has officially undergone the rite of passage that most millennials associate with Claire’s: she got her ears pierced. The seven-year-old was all smiles in a video of the milestone moment captured by her mom, who later shared it on TikTok.
“You’re being very cool right now,” Hudson says at one point. “I love how brave you’re being.”

Afterwards, Rani took a look at her new bling in the mirror while Hudson kneeled beside her mini-me.
“Oh my god, Rani! They’re so beautiful. They’re perfect,” the proud mom gushed. She captioned the post with three emojis that perfectly encapsulated the moment: “👑💎💖.”
Hudson shares Rani with her longtime fiancé Danny Fujikawa. The musician popped the question in September 2021 after the duo began dating in 2016. Rani is the couple’s only child together; she was born two years into their relationship, on October 2, 2018.
“She’s the best,” Hudson once said of Rani during an interview with People. “She’s so magical. She’s definitely her mother’s daughter. It takes her forever to get out of the house. She’s very particular about her wardrobe and her clothes and her vibe.”

Hudson also has two sons from previous relationships. She shares her eldest, Ryder, with her ex-husband Chris Robinson and her second eldest, Bingham, with her ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy.
“I’ve got multiple dads, I’ve got kids all over the place,” she once joked during a January 2021 appearance on Sunday Today With Willie Geist.

The Song Sung Blue actress likewise gushed about her “patchwork family” during a 2022 interview with The Sunday Times.
“It might not look traditional from the outside, but on the inside I feel like we’re killing it,” she told the publication. “The unit that I’ve created with three children with three different fathers is a seriously strong unit, and it’s ours.”
