Ruby Chen, father of hostage-casualty Itay Chen, said after meeting with U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio that “this is the fifth time I’ve met with him since he took office, and he reaffirmed his commitment to return all hostages. This is the agreement signed with Hamas and they will insist on the return of all hostages.” According to Chen, “There is an understanding that Hamas is dragging its feet on implementing the return of all hostages, but the U.S. and Israel are coordinated to continue applying pressure – with the understanding that this is the window of opportunity to bring everyone back.”
