Jeannie Mai‘s daughter Monaco stole the show in their spooky, adorable cooking video!
Earlier this week, Mai shared a sweet video to her Instagram page with the caption reading, “Because nothing says mother–daughter bonding like making edible bloody Band-Aids for Halloween.”

In the video, they start with a game of rock, paper, scissors, where Monaco won, but decided to go second (and confused her mama along the way). They’re getting into the spooky season spirit by making Bloody Band-Aids! (If you wanna know how to do it, you gotta watch the video!)
But while the mother-daughter duo is making the recipe, we see Monaco blowing an air kiss to the fans, along with performing an adorable magic trick, as well as emulating her mom by explaining what they were doing! And of course, no video is complete without a dance break! Truly, this was all so adorable!

For those who don’t know, back in January 2022, Mai and her ex-husband Jeezy welcomed their daughter, Monaco, into the world.
In a recent interview with SheKnows, she talked about how she keeps Monaco connected to her roots.
“In our household, we speak only Vietnamese with Monaco. She eats a lot of Vietnamese food. She watches Mama Mai cook them,” she said. “Family is everything in my culture. Family means that you protect one another, you respect one another, you know one another’s boundaries, you encourage one another, and you look out for one another. That’s very strong in Vietnamese culture.”
“I think for Monaco, the most important thing is for her to know her own roots well, both being Black and Vietnamese. It’s important for her to learn both sides of her culture, how they’re different, how they’re wonderfully woven into who she is, and to respect that her version of both those cultures doesn’t mean it’s the same for everybody else,” she said, adding that she also wants Monaco to know “to respect how other people are brought up in their own lineage or in their own households. Just being able to be aware of it, of who she is … when she loves her own roots, she’s able to love and appreciate others.”
