Prince William is courting big Hollywood names at his upcoming charity event — much to Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s chagrin, a source tells Examiner.
Matthew McConaughey, Gisele Bündchen, Shawn Mendes and Kylie Minogue are all set to join the future king, 43, at the Earthshot Prize ceremony in Rio de Janeiro on Wednesday, November 5.
Harry, 41, and Meghan, 44, “are so jealous,” says the source. “They feel like Hollywood is their territory and William should stay in his lane.”

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex “are furious because they also heard he’s planning to come to L.A. next year to meet with more people in the industry,” adds the source. “It’s almost like he’s deliberately trying to show them up.”

But the source points out that this is hardly the first time royals have rubbed shoulders with A-listers. “It just goes to show how self-involved Meghan and Harry are to think they can call dibs on certain people just because they live in California,” continues the source.
William wasn’t thinking of his brother and sister-in-law when he was lining up stars for Earthshot, insists the source: “But there’s no doubt he’s taking some pleasure in one-upping Harry anyway!”
