A man is due to appear in court following an alleged assault in Failsworth.
Greater Manchester Police attended Oldham Road on Friday evening (October 31) following an alleged incident outside the Church Inn pub.
A 31-year-old man who was arrested in connection with the alleged assault has since been charged.
Harry Hesketh, of Plane Road, Failsworth, has been charged with GBH, affray and possession of a class A substance.

He has been remanded in custody ahead of an appearance at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on Monday, November 3.

Posting on its Facebook page on Saturday, the Church Inn said it had ‘been closed down for 48 hours’ following an incident ‘on Friday night outside the pub’.
A GMP spokesperson added: “A licensed premises has been given an initial closure notice of 48 hours, pending a court hearing at Tameside Magistrates’ Court on November 3, 2025, in relation to this incident.”
Officers are appealing for further information in connection to the alleged incident.
