Democratic nominee Zohran Mamdani defeated former Gov. Andrew Cuomo in a June primary and is once again facing Cuomo, now a third-party candidate, in the general election. Republican Curtis Sliwa is also in the race. Incumbent Mayor Eric Adams was also running as a third-party hopeful but dropped out of the race this fall, though his name will still appear on ballots.
