A slide in big tech shares led a broad selloff Thursday, spurred by weak economic data and renewed concerns about the dizzying rally in artificial-intelligence shares.
All three major indexes notched declines, with investors starting to get nervous again that AI shares have run up too far, too fast, and that companies are ramping up their spending despite a darkening picture of the jobs market.
