Despite playing away in the Europa League, Celtic fans still made their voices perfectly clear about the Parkhead board.

Celtic’s defeat to FC Midtjylland was a tough one to take for fans who had been buoyed of late after Martin O’Neill injected a fresh impetus of confidence into the Hoops team.

O’Neill was defiant about the Celtic result as he insisted the Parkhead club still have a chance of qualifying from the tournament.

However, despite the uplift in mood, Celtic supporters still made their voices perfectly clear on their stance with the Parkhead board.

And Martin O’Neill sent the travelling Celtic fans a message when asked his thoughts on the chants in Denmark.

Speaking post-match, the Celtic boss was ‘very grateful’ to every fan that travelled to watch that disappointing performance in the Europa League as he sent them a message about the chants against the board.

O’Neill told TNT Sports, “Well, first of all, I’m very, very grateful that people spent hard-earned money to come to and support any football club, but they’ve done it and they’ve travelled endless distances for that. So, I’m really grateful for it.

“And at the end of it all, what we have to do on the field is win football matches. And sometimes that might quell things for a little while, all that type of stuff.

“But really, that’s my job to try and win the games and to try and just resurrect a little bit of confidence that’s been lost in the team.”

Celtic Fans Collective message ahead of November AGM

Whilst O’Neill has galvanised the Celtic support behind the team, the unrest over the Parkhead board continues.

And the Celtic Fans Collective released a statement about the upcoming AGM with a plan to keep the pressure on the Celtic board.

Taking to X, the Collective said, “We are hosting a drop-in session for all Celtic Shareholders who need support to complete their AGM forms or proxy their shares.
