The Jillaroos have continued their stronghold over the international rugby league world with a crushing 40–8 victory over the Kiwi Ferns at CommBank Stadium.
Julia Robinson strengthened her claims for the prestigious Golden Boot award with a player-of-the-match performance, scoring two tries — including another aerial special — while running for 115 metres and making six tackle breaks.
Olivia Higgins also starred, setting up two tries, including the first in green and gold for prop Ellie Johnston, as she successfully deputised for the injured Keeley Davis.

It took the Jillaroos 31 minutes to score their first try in last week’s win and they needed only two minutes today, crossing in just their second set as Olivia Kernick proved too hard to handle close to the line.
Flyer Julia Robinson produced yet another piece of acrobatic brilliance as she hauled in a pinpoint kick from Jesse Southwell to extend the lead to 12–0.
Jakiya Whitfield was sent flying down the sideline and looked destined to score before a try-saver from Tyla King and Ash Quinlan.
However, Quinlan held on for too long and was sent to the sin bin in the 25th minute in a big blow for the Kiwis.
The Jillaroos wasted no time taking advantage of the extra woman, with Quincy Dodd putting Keeley Joseph through untouched close to the line to take an 18-0 lead.
Jessica Sergis had a point to prove after being dropped to the bench for the final, and she wasted no time making the most of her opportunity — running 70 metres to score off her first touch, helping the Jillaroos to a 24-0 lead going into the break.

The Kiwi Ferns had their work cut out for them if they were to claim their maiden Pacific Championship, and there was some belief when winger Shanice Parker finished off a slick backline move to cross in the right-hand corner to tally her side’s first points.
That hope was short-lived as superstar fullback Tamika Upton showed no signs of the calf injury that kept her out of last week’s win, slicing through some flimsy defence to make it 30–4.
The Kiwis hit back quickly with a shift to Tysha Ikenasio, who showed some fancy footwork to beat her opposite and score her first try at international level.
The damage had been done, however, and it was party time for the Jillaroos when prop Johnston barged over under the sticks.
Robinson then put the icing on the cake, with her 22nd try in just 13 internationals after she ran onto some slick hands from Yasmin Clydsdale.
Jesse Southwell hit the crossbar in her only blemish for the day with Jillaroos running out 40–8 winners.
