A Nigerian man who claimed to be a Zimbabwean national for 21 years and claimed over €145,000 in social welfare payments has been given a suspended sentence.

Christopher Oshodin (48) of Kildare Road, Crumlin, Dublin, pleaded guilty to theft and dishonestly inducing an employee of the Department of Social Protection (DSP) to do an act to make a gain.
