At least eight people died and several were injured in an explosion near the historic Red Fort in New Delhi, with authorities investigating the cause of the deadly incident in one of the most crowded areas in the city.
The blast occurred in a moving car around 7 p.m. local time on Monday, authorities said, adding that heightened security measures have been put in place in India’s capital.
