West Coast Eagles young guns Harley Reid and Bo Allan have both been ruled out for the remainder of the 2025 season with ankle injuries.

Allan sustained a low-grade syndesmosis injury at training on Thursday after getting caught up in a tackle, before Reid suffered the same fate during the RAC Derby on Saturday.

“Harley Reid got his foot caught up in a tackle and has a low-grade syndesmosis injury,” High Performance Manager Mat Inness said.

“Despite being quite a low-grade injury, due to the time of season, we have ruled him out for the season.

“Like Harley, Bo Allan got his foot caught up in a tackle at training on Thursday and suffered a low-grade syndesmosis injury.

“Once again, due to the time of the year, this will rule him out for the season.”

Harry Edwards was a late out on Saturday ahead of the Fremantle clash, pulling up with some hamstring tightness after the warmup, but is a chance to face Melbourne this weekend.

“Harry Edwards reported some hamstring tightness after the initial warm up on the weekend,” Inness said.

“We decided that the risk was too great to make him available for the weekend, so he was withdrawn from the game.

“Harry has pulled up well, which gives us confidence that we can test his availability through main training on Wednesday, with a decision on his availability to be made later in the week.”
