Dundalk FC have a new owner in Dublin-born, American-based businessman Chris Clinton.
Dundalk FC are under new ownership as US-based shareholder Chris Clinton has agreed a deal with previous chairman John Temple to take over his share of the Co Louth club after talks between the pair and a mediation process.
Clinton has vowed to introduce changes to the club’s off-field operations and bring in external finance to put the troubled club on a sound footing. He hopes they can clear up remaining issues, especially the problems with the playing surface and floodlights at Oriel Park home, which had put in doubt their ability to gain a licence to play in the Premier Division next season.
