A man in his 20s has been arrested after €600,000 worth of cannabis was seized at Shannon Airport today.
Revenue Customs Officers seized approximately 30kg of cannabis, with an estimated value of €600,000, during the incident.
A man was arrested and is currently detained under Section 2 of the Criminal Justice (Drug Trafficking) Act 1996 at a garda station in the Clare – Tipperary division.
The drugs will be sent to Forensic Science Ireland for analysis.
Investigations are ongoing.
