Stella Banderas, the daughter of Melanie Griffith and Antonio Banderas, married Alex Gruszynski on October 18 in Spain.
Griffith shared some of her favorite photos from the big day to her Instagram on November 12.
The bride wore custom Rodarte to the event, which Griffith called “the most joyful, loving, sweet, magnificent time.”
Melanie Griffith is celebrating her daughter Stella Banderas’s October 18 wedding to Alex Gruszynski by sharing some of her favorite photos from her youngest daughter’s big day.
Griffith—who is also mom to actress Dakota Johnson—shared a carousel of photos to her Instagram on November 12, including an ethereal photo of Stella gazing up at her groom, a sweet mother-daughter moment, Stella’s bridesmaids (including Johnson), and Stella being walked down the aisle by her dad, Griffith’s ex-husband Antonio Banderas.
“Stella and Alex are married!! ❤️,” Griffith captioned the photos. “This was the most joyful, loving, sweet, magnificent time!! So much love!” She added, “The knot has been tied!!❤️❤️❤️”
Stella and Gruszynski married in a 12th-century abbey in Spain in front of 200 guests, the bride wearing bespoke Rodarte for her big day. The setting was extra special to Antonio, who is Spanish; Hello! reported that Malia Obama and Sasha Obama, the daughters of former President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama, were also in attendance.

Antonio was visibly emotional as he walked Stella down the aisle, later saying, “I’m Andalusian, I’m an actor, I’m a father—and it was a storm of emotions! I tried to keep my composure, but it was difficult not to shed a few tears looking at Stella.”
Stella’s gown—which she spent nine months designing with Rodarte—was a full-length, off-the-shoulder dress made of white lace and chiffon. “I knew I wanted something a little bit Gothic, very romantic, and inspired by Spanish lace—something that looked as if it belonged in a fairytale,” Stella said.
She later wore a second bridal look, a silk sheath by Jane Booke, for dinner after the ceremony.
Days after the October 18 ceremony, Antonio reflected on the occasion in an Instagram post of his own, writing, “The wedding of my daughter Stella has turned into a heartfelt family reunion, emotional, joyful, and full of laughter. Thank you to everyone who made this possible.”

Griffith added that, while she loves all of her children “unconditionally,” with Stella, “because she is my youngest, I think she has gotten the best version of me as her mama.”
