Columbus Crew’s General Manager Issa Tull has addressed the recent rumours linking Wilfried Nancy to Celtic.

Nancy has become the frontrunner for the Hoops role with multiple reports claiming he is the man the club want to replace Brendan Rodgers.

Former USA international Hercules Gomez compared the Frenchman to Luis Enrique in a ringing endorsement, while Celtic fans believe there are shades of Ange Postecoglou when it comes to appointing someone relatively unknown.

While the 48-year-old has remained coy, Tull has been a bit more bullish about his stance on his current manager.

After Columbus were beaten by Cincinati in the MLS Cup play-offs, attention turns to the 2026 campaign for the MLS franchise.

Despite all of the links, Tull is preparing for another season with Nancy at the helm.

He said: “Wilfried is under contract. We’re in deep discussions about expanding the squad for next year, developing preseason plans, all that good stuff.

“What’s the future going to bring? … You never know.”

“You have to be prepared for anything, but the way things are going, he’s locked in.”
