GREEN BAY – The Packers have listed defensive lineman Lukas Van Ness (foot), and receivers Matthew Golden (shoulder) and receiver Savion Williams (foot) as questionable for Sunday’s matchup with the New York Giants.
Cornerback Nate Hobbs (knee) has been ruled out.
Van Ness has missed the past four games because of a foot injury he sustained while sacking quarterback Joe Flacco during last month’s 27-18 win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
The third-year defensive lineman returned in a limited capacity on Thursday and continued to practice in that fashion on Friday.
“When I came around the corner and I went to wrap up Flacco, I kind of got my foot stepped on and bent it the wrong way,” said Van Ness after practice Friday. “Luckily walked away without needing surgery, nothing too serious. Was hoping it would be a couple week thing, but unfortunately we’re on week five now. At this point, getting healthier, being able to be back on my feet again and going day-to-day and hoping to be out there helping this team soon.”
Golden missed Monday night’s game against Philadelphia but practiced on Thursday and Friday. The rookie first-round pick has 23 catches for 262 yards in eight games this season.
“It just goes back to not being comfortable,” said Golden on Thursday. “If you do go out there and you’re not comfortable you might mess up on something, and you never want that. It’s all about being able to put my best foot forward and you go from there.”
On Friday, the Packers gave starting guard Aaron Banks a veteran rest day in lieu of practice. Receiver Christian Watson (knee/hamstring) continued to practice on Friday after being added to the injury report. Both will play against the Giants after not receiving a status for Sunday.
In addition to Banks and Watson, the following Packers players will be available in New York: linebackers Edgerrin Cooper (foot) and Quay Walker (calf), receivers Romeo Doubs (chest) and Dontayvion Wicks (calf), defensive linemen Micah Parsons (pectoral) and Kingsley Enagbare (knee), and tackle Zach Tom (back).
The Giants have ruled out five for Sunday: quarterback Jaxson Dart (concussion), receiver Darius Slayton (hamstring), outside linebacker Kayvon Thibodeaux (shoulder), offensive lineman Evan Neal (hamstring) and defensive lineman Chauncey Golston (neck).
Safety Tyler Nubin (neck) and safety Rakeem Nunez-Roches (toe) are doubtful while linebacker Bobby Okereke (shoulder) and cornerback Paulson Adebo (knee) are questionable.
New York didn’t issue a game status for the following players who will be available Sunday: center John Michael Schmitz (shin), linebacker Neville Hewitt (foot), tight end Daniel Bellinger (groin), outside linebacker Victor Dimukeje (shoulder), offensive lineman Jermaine Eluemunor (pectoral), tight end Thomas Fidone (foot) and linebacker Demetrius Flannigan-Fowles (pectoral).
Earlier this week, Giants interim head coach Mike Kafka announced Jamis Winston will make his first start of the season in place of the injured Dart.
