Ruby Wax must spend a minimum of three days in the jungle to secure her full pay from I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here. The comedian is among several high-profile names set to feature in the popular ITV show’s 25th series, which begins on Sunday. Joining her in the Australian-based programme are singer and actor Martin Kemp, rapper Aitch, and well-known Twitch streamer Angry Ginge, promising an exciting edition of the show.

As one of the top names among the 10 campmates taking part in the show, it’s certainly reasonable to assume that Ruby is receiving a substantial fee, reportedly £95,000. However, she must adhere to a lesser-known rule of the ITV show or risk losing her payment.

According to Metro, they report that the celebrities must remain in the jungle for at least 72 hours to earn their wage; otherwise, they could leave Australia empty-handed. Ruby said about fears of doing the show: “I don’t know what to expect until I’m there. Then I might have a heart attack. If you threw me out of a helicopter, I might s**t myself.”

As she made her way into the jungle during the live launch, fans became convinced she will quit, as one said: “Ruby first to leave already #ImACeleb.”

Another added: “Ruby Wax will deffo leave after one day with her pay check. Cant see her lasting. Not sure she even knows what show she is in #ImACeleb.”

Someone else wondered: “I love Ruby Wax but why on earth has she signed up for this!”.

Just days before she went into the jungle, the TV star moaned about the “trash” hotel she’d been put up as she waited to head in.

She told the Mirror: “This hotel is just trash… I am complaining and changing rooms already,” as she added: “Oh, then I would get snarly, but not to anybody. I would just get snarly at the people who are producing this show and remind them that they are insured and I could sue them,” she said.

As is traditional on the long-running programme, the basic meal of rice and beans is what contestants will primarily be eating unless they secure stars to unlock the rewards of fish or meat.

However, the prospect of a steady rice and beans diet doesn’t trouble Scott, given her Jamaican heritage. She said: “I love rice. With my Jamaican background, it’s all about the chicken and rice. If I come out of the jungle never wanting to eat rice again, I’m going to be devastated!”.
