Gold Coast is set to finalise three deals when pick-trading reopens on Wednesday ahead of the national draft.

The Suns will be matching numerous rival bids for their bevy of tantalising Academy-produced talent, meaning stockpiling the requisite draft points is critical.

Not only will future-star pair Zeke Uwland and Dylan Patterson attract top-five bids, but Academy teammate Jai Murray is also expected to draw a mid-first-round bid, as is Beau Addinsall, while Koby Coulson will have interest later in proceedings.

According to AFL Media’s Cal Twomey, Gold Coast — which will enter Wednesday night with seven selections ranging from 15th overall to 52nd — will dip into its future stocks and trade with three rival clubs to enhance its points profile.

Per Twomey, Suns will deal a future second-round pick to GWS for Pick 35, a future third-rounder to Adelaide for Pick 48, and another future third-rounder to Port Adelaide for the no.49 choice.

The imminent swaps will have the Suns armed with Picks 15, 18, 24, 28, 29, 35, 36, 48, 49 and 52. It will increase their points total from 3,773 to 4,299.

Uwland and Patterson are certainties to end up in Suns colours, while Murray is shaping as the likelier of him and Addinsall to have a bid matched — as Addinsall could be gettable for rivals.

Fox Footy’s draft expert Ben Waterworth said “doubt remains” over Gold Coast matching an Addinsall bid, adding: “With fellow Suns Academy prospect Jai Murray set to attract a bid in the first round — and Gold Coast tipped to match it — Addinsall appears more likely to be squeezed out.”

Gold Coast’s three purported deals come after it was revealed Carlton is set to offload its pair of first-round picks — nos. 9 and 11 — likely to Essendon and North Melbourne respectively.
