The Coalition and the right-wing media like to talk about “Victorianisation” and how it poses a dramatic threat to the whole country. But there’s a much more direct threat to taxpayers around Australia emanating from Melbourne right now — and it’s one only new Victorian Liberal leader Jess Wilson can stop.
That’s the colossal cost to the federal budget of the Victorian government’s crazed, corruption-riddled infrastructure program. It’s the reason why the rest of us outside Victoria are invested in Wilson reversing the trend of the last quarter-century and bringing the Liberals to government there.
