Collingwood’s Head of High Performance Jarrod Wade has provided an injury and health update ahead of Collingwood’s Round 21 match against Brisbane at the MCG on Saturday night.

New update:

Lachie Sullivan

Lachie Sullivan was subbed out of Collingwood’s Round 20 game against Richmond with a knee injury. Scans have confirmed Sullivan sustained a high-grade PCL injury, ruling him out of the remainder of the season.

EGM of Football Charlie Gardiner said:

“We are all incredibly disappointed for Lachie. He has been a valuable contributor to our AFL side this season and is a highly respected and popular member of the team,” Gardiner said.

“The standard return timeline for this type of injury is 12 weeks which unfortunately rules him out for the remainder of the season. We will wrap our arms around Lachie during this time and he will have our full support throughout his rehab journey.”

Available:

Scott Pendlebury was a late out for Sunday’s game against Richmond due to a corky. Pendlebury will train fully this week and will be available for selection.

Unavailable:

Jeremy Howe

Jeremy Howe was unwell over the weekend and was unable to progress his rehab program for his groin injury. Howe will build his loads and intensity this week, aiming to return to full training next week.

Tew Jiath

Tew Jiath has undergone hip arthroscopy surgery this week to assist with his recovery from a hip and groin issue. Jiath will commence a rehab program and is expected to be ready to start pre-season training later in the year.

Harvey Harrison (ACL), Reef McInnes (ACL), Beau McCreery (hamstring), Jakob Ryan (foot), Charlie West (foot) and Iliro Smit (foot) are all progressing well with their individual rehab programs.
