Eurostat has released the 2025 edition of the interactive publication Housing in Europe, offering statistical insights into housing trends across Europe.

The publication presents latest data on various aspects of housing, including types, ownership, size, quality and environmental impact, while also exploring housing costs and developments in the construction sector. The 2025 edition also includes a new indicator on people feeling discriminated when looking for housing.

Did you know that in 2024, 68% of the population owned their home, while the remaining 32% lived in rented housing? Or that there were on average 2.3 persons per household in the EU? Were you aware that between 2010 and 2024, there was an increase in house prices of 53% and 25% for rents?

Key indicators are displayed through interactive visuals, accompanied by a short description of the main findings.Â
