Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following a hit-and-run incident in east Donegal last week.

The two vehicle road collision occurred at Castruse, Carrigans, on Friday, July 25, shortly before midnight.

The driver and passenger of one of the cars remained at the scene. They did not sustain injuries. However, the driver of the other car immediately left the scene on foot. 

“We appeal to anyone who may have witnessed the collision to make contact with Gardaí in Letterkenny on 074-9167100,” a garda spokesperson said.

“If anyone travelled in that area with a dash-cam between 11.30pm on Friday, July 25 th and 00.30am on Saturday, July 26th, we ask them to please make the footage available to us”.
