Donegal will be under a status yellow wind warning this Thursday evening as winds reach near gale or gale force near the west coast.

The warning, for Donegal and Mayo, takes effect from 4pm on today, 27th November, to 6am on Friday.

The daytime today will be mild with rain temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.

Very windy conditions will move in, bringing a mix of clear spells and scattered showers, some of them heavy with a chance hail and isolated thunderstorms.

Met Éireann is warning of challenging travelling conditions and advising road users to be alert for debris from displaced loose objects.
