Bus Éireann has confirmed its Donegal to Dublin coach was involved in a serious crash in County Fermanagh yesterday evening.
Emergency services attended the two vehicle collision on the Derrylin Road near Enniskillen at around 7pm. It is understood the bus left Donegal Town at approximately 5:30pm.
“Bus Éireann can confirm that yesterday evening, 28 November, one of our Expressway Route 30 services was involved in a serious road traffic collision involving another vehicle in the Derrylin Road area of Enniskillen, county Fermanagh,” a spokesperson told Donegal Daily.
“The safety of our passengers, staff and the public is of paramount importance to Bus Éireann. We will provide any assistance required to the relevant authorities. No further information is available at this time”.
The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service (NIAS) told the BBC it received a 999 call at about 19:00 GMT. NIAS dispatched two rapid response paramedics, two emergency crews and an ambulance officer to the incident.
A spokesperson said that “following assessment and initial treatment at the scene, no patients were taken to hospital”. The Derrylin Road has since reopened.
