The Kangaroos celebrate
Irish women Vikki Wall, Erika O’Shea and Bláithín Bogue played their part in ensuring the North Melbourne Tasmanian Kangaroos emerged victorious in this year’s AFLW Grand Final, overcoming the Brisbane Lions on a scoreline of 9.2.56 – 2.4.16 at a sold-out Ikon Park this morning.
The 40-point win in the showpiece event Down Under was the culmination of a completely dominant display from the Kangaroos, with the outcome resulting in a second AFLW premiership medal for Wall from Meath and O’Shea from Cork — and a first for Fermanagh’s Bogue.
