77 million euro has been spent on repairing school roofs since 2021.
The figure’s contained in response to a parliamentary question by Fianna Fail TD Malcolm Byrne, who asked for data on the number of primary and secondary schools which have reported leaks in the roof.
Education Minister Hildegarde Naughton says while her department does not hold data on roof leaks, it has spent more than 77 million euro on roof works in the last four years.
