Heartfelt support is pouring in for Irish influencer Niamh Cullen after the shocking news that her husband had died only weeks after their first wedding anniversary.

Niamh’s husband, Jamie Gill, was surrounded by his family when he passed away on Thursday in St. Francis Hospice, Raheny, Co. Dublin, the Irish Mirror reports.

Popular fashion and fitness influencer, Niamh, and her partner had been together for eight years and tied the knot in Italy in November 2024. Jamie started to feel unwell only days after the wedding and two weeks before Christmas 2024, while undergoing an operation, doctors discovered a malignant tumour.

Jamie’s death notice on RIP.ie reads: “Our lives will never be the same at the untimely loss of a loving husband, cherished son and a fantastic brother.

“Deeply missed by his wife Niamh, mother Barbara, father Hugh, brothers and best friends Hugh and Daniel, mother-in-law Geraldine, father-in-law James, brother-in-law Jack, sisters-in-law Grace, Gill and Hannah, godson Hughy, goddaughter Emily, niece Sadie, Jamie’s godparents Moya and Roderick, uncles and aunts, cousins and extended family and an amazing circle of friends and neighbours, work colleagues in Media Central and Google.”

Heartfelt messages for Niamh have been pouring in from her friends, family and thousands of followers online after she shared the news of her husband’s death today. This includes a touching post from fellow influencer James Kavanagh, who co-hosts ‘The Simpler Life? With James and William’ podcast.

He wrote: “‘An absolute ball of a person’ is the easiest way to describe Jamie Gill, but he was so much more than that. He gave everyone in his orbit undivided attention if you wanted it. He listened, was always FULL of enthusiasm and advice and had the most genuine interest in seeing his friends and family flourish.

“We shared gorgeous conversations during our Covid walks that I always looked forward to. My cat, who kinda dislikes people, adored him – which means a huge amount imo. Him and @niamhcullenx created this absolute magic that you wanted to be around. If Niamh and Jamie were at the party, you could BET I’d be going. If you could bottle the giddiness and fun they create you’d be loaded. Jamie is a testament to his beautiful parents and brothers, who I adored being around too.”
