Two children critically injured in State Highway 1 crash near Wellsford, Auckland

“One person in a serious condition was taken to Auckland City Hospital while one person in a moderate condition was taken to North Shore Hospital.”

NZTA Waka Kotahi said northbound traffic could detour via Davies Rd and SH16, southbound drivers should reverse and expect delays.

Police said the Serious Crash Unit had been notified, and the road was closed for a scene examination.
