Police, paramedics and fire crews raced to the scene

A road was taped off with emergency crews in attendance following a collision in Rochdale on Monday night (December 1). Police, paramedics and fire crews attended the incident on Edenfield Road to reports of the crash involving two vehicles.
The road was cordoned off with two cars seen badly damaged within the cordon. Two adults and a child were checked over at the scene having suffering minor injuries.
Pictures from the scene showed numerous fire engines in attendance following the crash at around 7pm, along with an ambulance and a police car, outside the Esso and Morrisons service station.
The road was taped off for around 40 minutes at the junction with Caldershaw Road in Cutgate. It is not clear if any arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

A spokesperson for Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service (GMFRS) said: “At just before 7pm this evening (Monday 1 December), fire crews were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Edenfield Road, Rochdale.
“Two fire engines from Rochdale Community Fire Station quickly attended the incident, which involved two vehicles. Three casualties, two adults and one child, had all self-rescued before the arrival of the fire service and received treatment from colleagues from North West Ambulance Service for minor injuries.
“Firefighters helped make the vehicles and area safe before handing the scene over to Greater Manchester Police. Crews were in attendance for around forty minutes.”
