Erling Haaland has spent the last three and a half seasons dismantling Premier League records. His latest milestone is up there with his most staggering yet. The Manchester City striker has become the quickest player in history to reach 100 Premier League goals, shattering Alan Shearer’s long-standing benchmark and redefining what “prolific” looks like in the English top-flight. Shearer needed 124 matches to rack up a century of Premier League goals, whilst Haaland has blitzed past the century mark in just 111 games after his latest strike against Fulham. The Norwegian has become just the 35th player to join the Premier League 100 club, but which other stars did it in the fewest games?

As mentioned, Haaland and Shearer are first and second respectively and there is some distance to the rest. Former Tottenham striker Harry Kane takes third having joined the Premier League 100 club after 141 games in the competition. In fourth is Argentine, former Man City forward Sergio Agüero who took 147 matches to reach 100 goals. He is followed by Arsenal legend Thierry Henry who scored 100 Premier League goals in 160 games – he takes fifth.

In sixth is Liverpool’s Egyptian king, Mohamed Salah, who took 162 games to hit 100 Premier League strikes. Seventh goes to former Arsenal striker Ian Wright, who scored 100 goals in 173 games. Former Liverpool striker Robbie Fowler takes eighth place having scored 100 goals in 175 English top-flight matches. He is followed in ninth by former Newcastle striker Les Ferdinand who took 178 games to reach that milestone, whilst former Manchester United striker Andy Cole completes the top 10, having hit 100 goals in 185 games.
