Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s candidate for the next Mossad chief lied during an IDF investigation into the deployment of a 17-year-old Israeli boy as an army operative, Haaretz has learned. The teenager, who had been arrested on espionage charges, ultimately spent 18 months in jail as a result, before it emerged that he was speaking the truth that his actions were on behalf of the IDF.
