Toronto police are investigating after several vehicles were found with bullet holes following reports of gunfire early this morning in Scarborough.

The incident happened in the area of Markham Road and Ellesmere Road somewhere near Clementine Square, officials norted. Officers responded at around 4:07 a.m. after callers reported hearing gunshots.

Police arrived on scene and located evidence of gunfire, including multiple damaged vehicles. In a post to social media, investigators say they believe the suspects were in a vehicle that fled the scene in an unknown direction.

There are no reported injuries, and no suspect information has been released. Police say the suspect vehicle is believed to be a light-coloured sedan.

Clementine Square remains closed at Brimorton Drive while officers continue to investigate.
