Police investigate unexplained death in Rānui, West Auckland, after body found in stream

Police are making inquiries after a body was located in a stream in the West Auckland suburb of Rānui.

Police said officers were called to the scene at Paremuka Stream shortly after 5pm.

“Investigators are currently undertaking inquiries to establish the circumstances, but at this stage the death is being
treated as unexplained,” a spokesperson said.

“Additional information will be provided when we are in a position to do so.”
