“Latest Met Office model runs whipping up another deep low next Monday, just under a week after Storm Bram, Ireland again under the gun.

“Other models aren’t in agreement so far, preferring to take a deep low NE much further north. But early next week one to watch out for another storm.”

Donegal Weather Channel shared: “Looking ahead to next week models are showing another potential wind storm at some stage next week, many of the morning model runs where showing a potential storm on Monday to start the week so we will keep a eye on this at the moment. The UKMO model this morning is trying to blow Ireland the other side of the Atlantic but it’s a big outliner run.

“There is currently a weather warning in place for tomorrow morning for Mayo, Galway and Kerry mainly coastal areas there for strong southerly winds for a time.

“Further warnings will be possible this weekend Saturday into Sunday as it looks windy also.

“THURSDAY

“Looking ahead to Thursday a spell of rain will move into the west during the morning moving eastwards throughout the day. It will turn drier from the west during the early afternoon with rain clearing into the Irish sea early Thursday night.

“FRIDAY

“Friday will be drier with some bright or sunny spells, rain will move in from the Atlantic on Friday night.

“SATURDAY

“Saturday will be a very wet day with rainfall across the country heaviest across Atlantic coastal counties with the risk of flooding. It will be also a very windy day with some wind warnings possible.

“SUNDAY

“Sunday will start of showery with some heavy showers in places with the risk of Thunderstorms. Potentially becoming drier and brighter later in the day. It will also be a very windy day.”

“OUTLOOK

“Monday there is some uncertainty but the latest outlook is for unsettled conditions with heavy rain at times and windy conditions. There is a potential for a strong wind storm to develop along the jet stream again on Monday next week but I will watch this one closely to see how this develops over the coming days.

“There might be a slight improvement across the Christmas week with drier conditions and a return to frost at night’s. Anyone hoping for a white Christmas this year unfortunately it does not look like it’s going to be. Heading towards the end of December there are signs it will turn a good bit colder with a potential cold snap around the last few days to end December and early January.”
