Arne Slot could be without five senior players as Liverpool take on Brighton and attempt to move above Fabian Hurzeler’s side in the Premier League.

The big question on everyone’s lips is, ‘Will Mo Salah play?’

Well we can’t say for sure if he will start but we can tell you that he will be in the squad, as per Friday evening’s development that talks had been “positive” at the training ground.

Here is who could miss out for Liverpool vs. Brighton and Slot’s updates:

Due to last weekend’s comments about the club ‘throwing him under a bus’, Salah was left at home as Liverpool won at San Siro on Tuesday.

However, the Egyptian is fit and thanks to “positive” talks on Friday, he will be in the squad to face Brighton, according to various reporters including the Athletic‘s James Pearce.

During his press conference, the head coach revealed that Alexander Isak “got a knock in the first half” against Inter, “so let’s see how he has recovered from that.”

The news on Federico Chiesa is more positive, though. The Italian has recovered from illness and back in training.

Cody Gakpo and Wataru Endo are two notable absentees and will be out for “weeks” yet with muscle and ankle injuries respectively, said Slot.

Conor Bradley is also certain to miss the match. He is serving a one-match ban, having picked up his fifth booking of the Premier League season last time out.

There is no sign of Jeremie Frimpong, who was expected to return to training this week. This means Joe Gomez will likely start at right-back against Brighton.

Giovanni Leoni remains out as he recovers from his ACL surgery, while Jayden Danns and Stefan Bajcetic continue to sit on the sidelines due to hamstring injuries.
